Following the announcement of the 2025 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, Cadel has this message to share ahead of an exciting few months of international cycling, and the opening of TAC People’s Ride entries for next year’s event.

A big hello to everyone as we all get ready for the Tour de France and the Paris Olympics, both races and places that have been remarkable in my career and cycling in general, and both which I look forward to watching from the sidelines with you all.

Next January will mark 10 years since the inaugural Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and the Peoples Ride (now partnered with our big supporters at TAC) and, significantly for me; 10 years since my last race.

In this last ten years, I am proud to have witnessed the growth of a cycling event into a race that is part of the National and International sporting calendars but also, a ride that has evolved from being a big part of our weekend of elite competition into what I feel has become a coming together of friend, family, colleagues for a union of health and well-being on two wheels.

The TAC Peoples Ride is not just a commitment to ourselves, but a coming together of likeminded individuals, sharing challenges, experiences and satisfaction on the ride, and enjoying aftermath of the ride whilst watching the elite women’s road race that follows

So next January, lets come together again to make it something bigger and better. I ask you, with your friends, family, and colleagues to help make this one especially memorable, for our sport, our region and ourselves.

Registrations are set to open at midday on Wednesday 26 June – with the chance to save 15% by using the code emailed to our community. To ensure you receive this code, please register via our form before Wednesday 26 June, and keep an eye out for our email on Wednesday. Didn’t receive the email? Finally, our 2025 jersey reveal is coming soon so it’s time to get moving and make sure you’re a part of the best and most inclusive day of cycling on our calendar.

Let’s go!
