Get ready, Cadel’s Criterium is rolling into Eastern Gardens this Thursday afternoon, and it’s bringing all the speed, colour and chaos of elite cycling right into the heart of the city!

After bushfire conditions forced the cancellation of the Surf Coast Classic earlier this week, the team behind the Mapei Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race moved fast to keep the action alive. The result? A brand‑new, high‑energy criterium that’s all about fast laps, tight corners, and non‑stop excitement.

The Course - 2km

Expect high-speed racing, technical turns, and WorldTour teams flying around a compact 2km circuit in one of Geelong’s most beautiful parklands. With riders looping past again and again, you’ll be right in the thick of the action from start to finish.

Women’s Race
1:00pm – 2:00pm
20 laps / 40km
Presentation to follow race finish

Men’s Race
2:30pm – 3.30pm
25 laps / 50km
Presentation to follow race finish
