SURF COAST CLASSIC - MEN

Thursday 29 January 2026 - 10:00am to 2:17pm*

The Surf Coast Classic Women’s and Men’s races scheduled for Wednesday 28 January and Thursday 29 January will not proceed due to the evolving bushfire and weather situation in the Great Ocean Road region.

Held mid-week, the Men’s Surf Coast Classic is a fast-paced race that starts and ends in Torquay, offering a mix of coastal beauty and tactical racing. In 2025, Tobias Lund Andresen took the win in a thrilling sprint finish. The route includes a challenging inland climb and a high-speed run into Torquay, making it a favourite for sprinters and breakaway specialists alike.

The 2026 Course – 174.4km

Due to current weather conditions, the race will now start and finish in Torquay, delivering a spectacular coastal and hinterland showcase. From Torquay, the peloton heads south to the iconic Bells Beach, before turning inland through Moriac for a challenging loop that will test both strength and tactics. Riders then return to Torquay for a fast‑paced, high‑energy finish by the sea.
