The 2027 GeelongPort Family Ride is a popular, free event that brought kids, parents, and first-time riders together for a fun and memorable experience. Held on a closed 2km circuit along the Geelong waterfront, it offers a safe and exciting way for families to be part of race weekend.

Riders roll under the same finish gantry as the elite races, are cheered on by big crowds and immersed in the festival atmosphere, with professional cyclists joining in to share the experience. With balance bikes, training wheels, and big smiles, it is an event for the whole family!

Start & Finish Location: Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach Rd, Geelong VIC 3220

Format: Free Recreational Family Ride (Registration required)

Bike Requirements: All non-motorised bikes including balance bikes, training wheels, handcycles, adaptive cycles, tricycles, tandem bikes. More details on the GeelongPort Family Ride FAQs

Minimum Age: The minimum age for a rider is 3 years on event day (riding under their own power). Passengers can be younger than 3 years of age, and the adult who is riding needs to register.
